One thing about Jesus is that He never changes. He's not good to us one day and mean the next. He won't heal you today and say "stay sick" tomorrow. He is always "Jesus Christ [the Anointed One) the same yesterday, and today, and for ever" (Hebrews 13:8).
He is the same as He was in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. We see Him healing and delivering people at every turn even when He was desiring to be alone or hurting. He was always moved with compassion. The people of His time didn't have to struggle to persuade Him to help. No not at all. They asked and He answered. The best part of it all: HE NEVER SAID NO! Praise God!!!
Over the last 2000 years religion and the traditions of man have taught us that Jesus has changed. That He had somewhere began telling people no when they need healing. Religion has taught erroneously that the day of miracles has passed away.
I have good news for you today: THAT IS JUST NOT TRUE!!!! HALLELUJAH!!!
Acts 1:8-11 "Ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Sammaria, and unto the uttermost parts of the earth. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; which also said, ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? THIS SAME JESUS, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven."
Think about what the heralding angels said. "This same Jesus. . ." is going to come back. If Jesus was one way when He was on earth, and he is going to be the same when He comes back, what do you suppose He's going to be like during the time in between? HE'S GOING TO BE THE SAME!!!
He's just as easily moved now as He was then. He is just as quick to heal as He ever was. He is truly the same yesterday, and today and forever. Thank God for that.
I know this is a simple message. We should just receive it as little children and believe it. Unfortunately most of us don't. We start reasoning in our minds. We think, "well my disease is so serious and I've had it such a long time, it just couldn't be that easy for me to be healed."
Those are lies from the devil. Is anything too hard for God? What we need to do is stop reasoning so much and simply believe the gospel!!!
"But brother Mark, Jesus is not here any more. He's in heaven." Yes, that is true, BUT He is still ministering on earth through His Word by the Holy Ghost. He said in Matthew 28:20 "Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world."
The Holy Ghost power of Acts is still in our midst. Thank God that the same anointing that was on Jesus is on the believers today! The power of God is available to minister to you and your family today.
Read Luke chapter 4:18-19 and see who Jesus was anointed to minister to. If you're blind, if you're oppressed by sickness, if you're depressed, in bondage to drugs, alcohol, or simply beaten down by the cares of the world--Jesus is here to deliver you. Today is your day! Say that out loud now: TODAY IS MY DAY!
Acts 10:38 declares" How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him."
Let's take a look at a day in the life of Jesus. Read Mark Chapter 1 verse 21-27. Jesus went to the synagogue and taught. He then cast out an unclean spirit. The people were all amazed.
This same Jesus saw a man with a need. He needed a burden removed. Jesus did it. The scripture goes on to tell us that He went into Simon's (Peter's) mother in law and healed her of a terrible fever. (verse 29-31).
Isn't that something? The very next place He went there was another need met. Read on in that same chapter and you'll see that more came to Him that were diseased and possessed with devils. He healed many that were sick and cast out many devils.
What do you want Him to do for you? It is just as easy to receive from Jesus today as it ever was. Just go to Him in faith in your heart, and speak it with your mouth and He's able to do whatever you ask Him to do.
Blind Bartimaeus cried out: "Have mercy on me, thou Son of David." No matter what He was doing, Jesus would stop and minister to whoever called out to Him. He's still that way. At the call of faith today, all of heaven moves to answer that prayer.
Jesus asked Blind Bartimaeus "What do you want Me to do for you?" Isn't that easy? Bartimaeus answered, Jesus did it!!! Praise God!!! That's Jesus attitude toward us today also.
Well, Brother, that's just one incident. I could tell you about the leper in Matthew chapter 8 who came to Jesus and worshiped him, saying, "Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean" (verse 2). What was Jesus' response? "I will, be thou clean."
I could tell you about the centurion who had a sick servant and came to the Master saying, "Lord, speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed." (Verse 8) Jesus response: "Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee"
(verse 13).
I could tell you about Jairus, who fell at Jesus feet "and besought him greatly, saying My little girl lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live" (Mark 5:23).
I could tell you about the woman who had the issue of blood for 12 years and said to herself, "If I may touch His clothes, I shall be made whole" (verse 28). Guess what happened? She was made whole!!!
Whatever you ant, ask for it. Believe you receive it, and put it in your mouth. Start saying what you want Jesus to bring to pass in your life.
This same Jesus! The Anointed One, the same yesterday, and today, and forever, wants to remove your burdens and destroy your yokes the devil has used to oppress you. He wants to bless you and deliver to you the abounding favors of the Lord.
That was His ministry 2000 years ago. It's still His ministry today. That is what He does every day---24/7. Call on Him in faith and let Him do it for you.
He is the same, wonderful Jesus! The Healer. The Provider. The Deliverer. He's still moved with compassion to minister to your need.
